I recently served as Mayor of Kilkenny City, having been elected to Kilkenny Borough Council in 2004. I joined the Labour Party in 1987, and contested the local elections in 1999 in my native South Kerry. I was elected in 2004 in my new home city. I am now the only Labour Party candidate for Kilkenny City West, covering most of the west of Kilkenny City and the rural towns and villages of Callan, Danesfort, Stoneyford, Kells and Dunamaggin.

An Riocht Abú- Bring on the Rebels
Cad é mar chluiche- cad é mar bhúa!! Just back off the train in time to see the ball thrown in against Armagh. What a Kerry performance. So much for not being able to come from behind, play with 14 men, not being able to beat an ULSTER TEAM. We've finally got the monkey off our back and we're back on track. Best of all was the smile on Jack O' Connor, my fellow parishioner's face at the end. After all the nonsense in Kerry for the past few weeks, Jack summed it up perfectly. 'What harm if fellas hit each other a few slaps in training?' says he. 'I was praising them for that.' Well done too to Brian Sheehan and Declan O' Sullivan from South Kerry who both redeemed themselves when they came off the bench.
Comhgáirdeachas do mhuintir Ui Shé, Dara, Marc agus Tomás a d'imir go diabhail. As for Billy's boys- Bring 'Em On!!

Well Sean congrats to the Kingdom unfortunately we weren't as fortunate against the Rebels on Sunday.
Thanks Séamus,
The cats were hoping to face the Déise. Actually sitting in the Tower Hotel with their great grub and free internet access! Pity some of our Kilkenny hotels wouldn't follow suit. Here's hoping now for a doublwe whammy over the rebels.
Any chance of a nice hurling photo on this blog. Thought you were living in Kilkenny.
Give us a chance camáner. Cats out this weekend so 'hould your whisht' as they say phonetically in the Kingdom. One coming up of village lads. Not sure you'd recognise any of them!!
I'm probably ONE of them!!!!!
God you musr bring me to a Village game one of these days so camáner!
Yeah, right!!! A Kerryman at a hurling match! There isn't enough of a flat place for hurling in Kerry. All they can do is kick a pig's bladder across the mountains!!!
